- Salvation: Salvation is a gift from God through faith in Jesus Christ.
- The Bible: The Bible is the authoritative Word of God, inspired by God.
- Jesus Christ: Jesus Christ is the Son of God, who was born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, and died on the cross.
- The Holy Spirit: The Holy Spirit enables Christians to live godly lives.
- The Church: The Church is holy, and its members are in communion with each other.
- The Second Coming: Christ will return again, and on that day, the faithful will be saved.
PROGRAMS:
Door of Hope operates a Food Bank, Church Services, Rooftop Outreaches, Job Fairs, Social Service, Referrals and a Childcare Center to the surrounding communities of East Los Angeles. We serve around 30,000 Individuals/Family Households spiritually with Food, Spiritual Enrichment, Various Donated Goods and most of all – God’s Love. VOLUNTEERS
We are Blessed to operate a ministry, church and community center with 17 unpaid volunteers who serve with their hearts and precious time. Our volunteers bring their career life and work skillsets to help in the office, food bank, kitchen crew, maintenance, car repairs, building remodeling and repairs.
FINANCIAL SUPPORT:
Some of our current and past projects and donors include: Good360, LA Regional Food Bank, World Vision, The Girl Scouts, Food4Less, Gibsons, Ralphs, SC Edison and Wenger Furniture.
AWARDS:
Throughout the years, Door of Hope has received numerous awards, accolades and recognition for providing outstanding services with a Servant’s Heart.
Recently, our Food Bank Director, Becky Lopez received the 2024 Tony Collier Award from The Los Angeles Regional Food Bank.
